Mary Helen Beck, 76, of Fort Smith, AR was reunited with her husband Charles "Jerry" Beck on May 15, 2021. Mrs. Beck was born December 20, 1944 in Mexico City, Mexico to the late Paul Diaz and Mary Romore. She was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father as well as her daughter Barbara Pirpich. She is survived by her children Jack Bernard of Van Buren, AR, James Bernard (Raquel) of Greenwood, AR, Julie Cayton (Thomas) of Maysville, OK, sister Carina Trujillo and brother Paul Diaz both of California, grandchildren Mandy Roy, Jessica Varner, Kenna Slaughter, Gunnar Pirpich-Plummer, Garrett Queener, Kyle Bernard, Joey Bernard, Larson Bernard, Autumn Bernard, Lidia Lopez and Christofer Lopez, along with great great grandchildren Rome Roy, Sadie McGaugh, Cannon McGaugh, Odin Slaughter and Bella Slaughter. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday May 20, 2021 at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel 4817 Kelley Hwy in Fort Smith. A family visitation will be held Wednesday May 19, 2021 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jack Bernard, Garrett Queener, Thomas Cayton, Kyle Bernard, James Bernard and Joey Bernard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larson Bernard and Gunnar Pirpich-Plummer.
