Marilyn V. (Rennison) Burnett, 75, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center in Poplar Bluff. Mrs. Burnett was born July 30, 1936 in Minneapolis, Minn. She was a member of West Side Church of God, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Burnett enjoyed going to church, spending time with her church family, playing with her sister's dogs and listening to music. Survivors include 5 sisters, Evelyn Lou Phelps of Fenton, Mo., Vivian Marie Hicks and Mary Arlene Hopkins both of Odessa, Mo., Virginia Ella Corder of Hardy, Ark. and Sue Archer of Poplar Bluff; and 4 brothers, Claude Richard Rennison of Springfield, Mo., Larry Ray Rennison of Poplar Bluff, Lee Robert Rennison of Kansas City, Kans. and George Edward Rennison. Her parents, Claude Ray and Vera Minerva (Morrill) Rennison and sister, Norma Mae Towner preceded Mrs. Burnett in death. Visitation was at 9 a.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service followed at 10 a.m. in the funeral chapel with The Rev. Bill Wiles officiating. Burial was at Dunning Cemetery in Butler County.
