Born on July 6, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John and Antonetta (DePamphalis) Martino. She was married to the late Byron "Chick" Miller for 33 years until his death on June 23, 1989. She had four children.
She was a 1954 graduate of Bangor High School. She was a machine operator in the garment industry for 36 years. After leaving the garment industry, she worked in the kitchen at Detzi's Tavern, Wind Gap, before taking a Supervisor of Maintenance job at East Stroudsburg University until retiring in 2004.
She was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Pen Argyl and a volunteer at the Slate Belt Senior Center, working the front desk in Bangor.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Theresa Uliana and her husband Gino of Bethlehem, and her son Byron, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Hartsville, SC.
She leaves a piece of her heart with all her grandchildren, Stephanie and Tony, Brian and Kate, Justine and Vinnie, and Alicia and Stephen. Her great granddaughter Kimmie was the light of her life.
She felt blessed to have her grandson, John Jr., and his wife Catie come into her life to introduce her to her two new great grandsons, John III "Trip" and Jae Henry from Texas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Martino and three sisters, Anna Pagano, Mae DaKay and Theresa Martino.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Thursday, May 20, 2021, at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Avenue, Pen Argyl. There will be a viewing beginning at 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Thursday at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl. Interment will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel New Catholic Cemetery, Roseto.
