Harry Evans was asked for his hand for eternal rest on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at his home at the age of 87 years of age.
He proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army and worked as a Certified Mechanic for IMTT.
He was the son of the late Willie Evans Sr. and Henrietta Nelson Evans.
Survived by his wife Myrtle Brown Evans. Father of Linda Evans Quinn, the late Marlene Evans and Gwendolyn T. Evans Temple. He also leave to mourn 11 grandchildren, 32 great-grand-children, 6 great-great grandchildren, one sister Lubertha (Milton) Robertson, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

C. and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Providence Baptist Church, 11509 Jefferson Hwy., River Ridge, LA on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Terry Lewis, Sr. officiating Viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. Interment: Providence Memorial Park, Metairie, LA. Richardson Funeral Home of Jefferson is in charge of arrangements.
