FRIEDA BEASLEY DORRIS, 87, died November 5, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Dorris, the widow of Reynolds O. Dorris, was a homemaker and a communicant of Resurrection Catholic Church. She was a past president of the Poetry Society of Tennessee and co-author of a widely used poetry form. She is survived by her brother, Vance E. Beasley of Heth, AR; her sister, Bess Beasley Wells of Marion, AR; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. in Memorial Park on Poplar Avenue. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Poetry Society of Tennessee or to the charity of donor's choice.
