Susie Mae Reed, age 58 of Crossett died Sunday, May 09, 2021 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was a native of Thebes, AR but a resident of Crossett. Mrs. Reed was an employee of the Georgia Pacific Paper Mill and a member of Westside Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Fannie Grayson-Curtis (2012), one brother Billy Joe Curtis and one sister Mabelean Curtis(2017). Mrs. Reed loved reading and listening to music.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years John Reed, one son Mariano Reed (LaSarah) of Conway, three step sons, Redo Reed (Sheila) of Little Rock, AR. Marcelino and Antonio Reed both of Crossett. Three step daughters, Colitho Green (Jimmy), Taffany Hampton (David) both of Crossett and Anna Brown (DeMonte) of McKinney, TX.; four brothers, Herman Curtis (Henrietta) of Montrose, AR, Roy Curtis (Shelia) of Crossett, AR, Troy Curtis (Margaret) of Kansas City, MO and Terry Curtis of Baton Rouge, LA. Three sisters Bernice Sharp of Rockford, IL, Mattie Hardway (Joe) of Memphis, TN.; Mary Curtis of Crossett and grandchild Hensley Reed.

Graveside service Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Westview Cemetery with Pastor Curtis Jackson officiating. Pallbearers are Raymond Clark, Brian Miles, William Simmons, George Brown, Justin Austin and Jewel Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Anthony Curtis, Jermaine Curtis, Eddie Mitchell, Jesse Williams and Marcus Williams.
