Delores Ashley Green, age 64, passed away on April 24, 2021 in Colby, WI surrounded by her loving family.
Our strong Dine' (Navajo) woman was born January 19, 1957 to Marjorie Nelson and Stanley Ashley Sr. in Winslow, AZ. She was born for the To'Di'chi'I'nii (Bitter Water clan) born into To'tsohnii (Big Water clan). Her maternal grandfather was Ta'chii'nii (Red Running into the Water Clan) and her paternal grandfather was Dibe'Lizhini' (Black Sheep clan).
Delores enjoyed shopping, spending time outdoors, camping and fishing. She loved working on puzzles, reading the paper and made wonderful fried bread. Most of all, she loved being a mother and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her father Stanley Ashley, children; Michael Green Jr., James Green and SandraDee Blackhurst, eight grandchildren, siblings; Dorris Attakai, Joanne Ashley, Stanley Ashley Jr., Judy Ashley Redsteer, Stuart Ashley, Stevenson Ashley, Christina Walter, Stanson Ashley and Sheridan Ashley. She was preceded in death by her mother Marjorie Nelson.
Delores was kind, loving and always willing to help others. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Nelson Family Mortuary, 4780 N. University Avenue, Provo, UT. There will be a visitation from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery on Monday, May 3rd at 11:00 a.m.
