Carolyn graduated from Huntingburg High School in 1953. She married Wilfred (Tony) Haller in April 1955 at St. Mary's Church in Huntingburg. Tony passed away in 1988. Carolyn married Maurice M. Lueken in July 1989 at Precious Blood Church in Jasper who passed away in 2010. Carolyn was a member of St. Benedict Cathedral where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Legion of Mary. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Haller's Cleaning Service which was formerly owned by her son, Charles.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Charles W. (Jolayne) Haller; sister, Darlene Abell; brothers, Wesley and Douglas Abell; step-sons, Michael, Timothy, and Andrew Lueken; step-daughters, Ann Lueken Lawrence and Donna Boutwell; sisters-in law, Donna Boeglin and Margaret Clauss; brother-in-law, John Luker; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friend, Mary Kay Weber who she sang with in St. Benedict choir.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husbands, Tony Haller and Maurice Lueken; son, Daniel Joseph Haller; daughters, Sue Haller Adamson and Joyce Haller Whitmore.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue, Evansville. Funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Godfrey Mullen officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
