rs. Carolyn K. Ferguson, age 78, of Ewing, MO passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 in the Country Aire Retirement Estates at Lewistown, MO.
She was born September 10, 1942 in Wyaconda, MO a daughter of Hollis Stewart and Essie Belle Kerner Leeper. She married Lawrence (Larry) Ferguson in Wayland, MO on October 9, 1977. He passed away on May 25, 2013.
Carolyn worked at QPS in Quincy in the claims department for many years until retiring and doing what she enjoyed. Larry and Carolyn raised Shih Tzu and Chihuahua dogs for some years they also loved selling produce at farmers markets and with Carols amazing green thumb could grow about anything. She enjoyed seeing and talking with all her grandkids.
Carolyn is survived by her one son, Stephen Smith of Tracy, CA; one stepdaughter, Karen Mason and her husband Kevin of Benbow, MO; one sister Wanda McLeland of Macon, MO; grandsons, Ray Smith of Cedar Hill, Texas, Devin Mason of Taylorville, IL, Conner Mason of Ozark, MO and Trever Mason of Benbow, MO; granddaughter, Sadie Mason of Benbow, MO; great granddaughter, Hayden Mason of Chattanooga, TN and Princess her loyal Chihuahua. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Graveside services and burial will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Kahoka Cemetery in Kahoka, MO. with Rev. Elmer Hagood officiating. There will not be any visitation, but friends are invited to the graveside service.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Quincy Humane Society in care of Ball-Davis Funeral Home, P.O. Box 273, Ewing, MO 63440
