Ashley Alexandra James COLUMBIA - A funeral service for Ashley Alexandra James, 16, will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015, at Eastlake Community Church. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015, prior to the service at the church. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is assisting the family. Born in Columbia, daughter of Billy James and Kimberly Hayden Stillinger, Ashley died Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Ashley was a talker and had a smile that lit up a room. Everyone who came in contact with her loved her. She attended Dutch Fork High School and loved to bake. As a member of Eastlake Community Church, she worked in the church nursery and was active in the youth group. Ashley had a personal relationship with Jesus and longed to know Him more. She loved praise and worship music as well as country music. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her stepfather, Lee Stillinger of Irmo; stepmother, Debbie James of Brevard, NC; maternal grandmother, Carolyn Ross of New Bern, NC; paternal grandfather, Ernie James of Aiken; brothers, Hayden and John-Hunter James and sister, Rebecca James, all of Irmo; siblings by marriage, Chris, Erik, Uriah and Hannah Stillinger and Kristen and Austin Goforth. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Robert John Hayden and paternal grandmother, Barbara James. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Kemo, Palmetto Health Foundation, 7 Medical Park, Suite 7215, Columbia, SC 29203 (memo line on checks should be marked Camp Kemo)
