Brenda Kay Adams, 71, of Buffalo, Iowa. Passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, May 21, 2021 in The Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5-8 P.M. on Thursday, May 20 at The Runge Mortuary. Brenda was born on December 8, 1949, the daughter of Phillip and Grace (Hurst) Coonts. She was united in marriage to Terry L. Adams on November 23, 1968 in Buffalo. He preceded her in death on September 29, 2018. She enjoyed camping, traveling and going antiquing. She worked as a Paraeducator for the Davenport Community Schools for 30 years, retiring in 2010, and was a librarian for the Scott County Library System for many years.
Those left to honor her memory include her son and daughter-in-law Todd (Michelle) Adams, Buffalo; daughter and son-in-law Tara (Doug) Anderson, Buffalo; four grandsons, Tyler, Trent (Sarah), Tanner and Zach; great grandson, Griffin, and a great granddaughter, Liliana, due in August; step-grandchildren Cassie and Cody; brother Jeff (Ronda) Coonts, Buffalo; sister-in-law Nancy (Ralph) Stalder, Blue Grass; mother Grace Coonts, Davenport; and many nieces and nephews. Brenda was preceded in death by her husband and father.
