Bradley "Brad" S. Lee, Sr., 82, of Monrovia, was called to conclude his earthly journey on Saturday, March 27, 2021, with his loving and devoted wife by his side. He was born one of sixteen children, on May 23, 1938, in Liberty, Kentucky to the late William "Willow" Oliver Bradley and Birdie Mae (Turpin) Lee.

A boy who loved nature, Brad was born and raised in the rustic agricultural life of a large family farm, where he was instilled with a resilient work ethic. Longing for independence and a better life, he migrated north to Indiana, where he found work at Anderson Orchard, formerly known as Johnson Orchard, to begin a life with his first love.

A firm, yet loving father, Brad raised his children to be strong, up standing people, while protecting them from the perils of the world. Affectionate, and never too busy to give hugs, or say "I love you", he regularly got on their level to wrestle them to the floor.

Brad met his second wife, Nancy, later in life while working as a mechanic, and she as a Mobile Auto Supply Salesperson. The pair married on March 31, 1990, settling in Indianapolis for a short time, before purchasing their home in Wilbur in 1992.

Self-taught and naturally skilled in the workings of engines, Brad was employed as a manager and auto technician, in service stations in Indianapolis and owned a Sinclair Service Station in the 1960's. In December of 1984 he and his brother, Denver, were featured in Indianapolis Monthly as the People's Choice for Best Technician. Community minded, Brad and Nancy successfully opened and established Nancy's Auto Value in the late 80's, later expanding to a hardware and feed store.

True to the love of engines and all things related, Brad thoroughly appreciated racing, owning a drag race car, then later following NASCAR. Genuine and up front you always knew where you stood with him. A man of his word, he prided himself on his strong work ethic, love of family and resilience. Knowledge was the key, and he found a way to use it to use it to open himself and his family for a good life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Brad leaves behind his devoted wife, Nancy I. (Hurst) Lee of Monrovia; children, Pamela Lee Richmond (Dave) of Mooresville, Donna Calabrese of Colorado, Tammy Lindgren (Jim) of Indianapolis, Shelby Lee-York (Belinda) of Brazil, Stephanie Lee-Seniour (Nick) of Eminence, KY, Troy Givens (Karen) of Whitehill, IN, Cody Allen Lee (Laura) of Camby and John Andrew Oliver Lee of Monrovia; former wife, Shirley Lee of Mooresville; siblings, Marvin Lee, Christine Dean (Phillip), Teresa Coffman (Jim), all of Liberty, KY, Wince Lee (Sharon) of Georgetown, KY, and Denver Lee (Kim) of Fortville; along with 27 grandchildren, 48 great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Along with his parents, Brad was preceded in death by his children, Mona Lee Rooker Bain, Bradley S. Lee, Jr., and Shelly Merriman; siblings, Rena, Dovie, Elna, Mable, Dave, Evie, Bill Lee, Gay Markwell, and Irene Justet.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia. An additional hour of visitation will be held on Thursday, April 1, beginning at 10:00 a.m., with a Celebration Of Life Service beginning promptly at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Nick Seniour officiating. Burial will follow in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
