Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lucy (Doherty) Smith and the wife of the late Philip Turner. Agnes had a long career as a Hansford Reporter for the New Brunswick government. She is survived by nieces, Dawn Smith-Brunet of Grand Bay, Lynn Smith of Quispamsis, Nancy Murchison of Bayswater, Myrna McPherson of LePreau, Beverlie Dietze of Bedford, NS, Paul Arthurs of Bayswater, Barry Arthurs of Carter's Point, Dale Smith of Grand Bay-Westfield; as well as by several great-nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Beryl Emmerson. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Philip; brother, David; sisters, Edna, Clara and Eileen; nephews, David and Philip Arthurs; niece, Kathryn (Arthurs) DeGraw.
