Lois Mae Reynolds, 85, of Cedar Creek, Nebraska passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Brookestone Village in Omaha. She was born December 15, 1935 in Omaha, Nebraska to John and Josephine (Turpin) Nanos.

Lois graduated from Tech High School in 1953. Later that same year she married her high school sweetheart, Virgil Gene Reynolds in Papillion, NE. To their union, they were blessed with four children: Chari, William, Cathi and Robert.

Using her amazing artistic abilities, Lois worked as a cake decorator for several bakeries in the Omaha area. In addition to cake decorating, she also loved art, especially painting. This love for art was something she passed on to her grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Lois was a caregiver, always giving her time to her family, her friends, her church, and the community. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She really loved spending time with her 13 grandchildren. Lois was very active at the local care centers, was a volunteer for the PTA, and helped out as much as she could for both the Louisville and Faith Westwood United Methodist Churches. She enjoyed attending bible study at both churches as well.

Lois is survived by her husband: Gene Reynolds of Cedar Creek, NE, children, Chari (Lawrence) Kelley of West Palm Beach, FL, William (Michelle) Reynolds of Plattsmouth, NE, Cathi (Philip) Pankonin of Plattsmouth, NE, Robert (Regina) Reynolds of Louisville, NE, grandchildren, Shawn Leader, Marissa Vavra, Carissa Stock, Michael Reynolds, Kevin Leader, Christopher Pankonin, Heather DeBolt, Andrew Pankonin, Stephanie Smith, Nicholas Reynolds, Katelyn Pankonin, and Alexandra Reynolds, and 8 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents John and Josephine Nanos, and grandson Anthony Reynolds, brothers, Jack and Joseph Nanos.

Lois served as a Doe, Elks Club BPO #39.

The family has opted for a private celebration of life for Lois.
