Sara grew up in Franklin Springs, GA, born to Joseph and Reba Sims. After she left home, she became a wonderful wife to Lloyd and mother to her children. She loved all parts of being a homemaker, and was especially good at sewing and cooking.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Sam Sims. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lloyd Cole; children, Aubrey (Annette) Sims of Royston, and Cindy (Keith Adcock) Cole of Dallas; sisters, Frances Dove of Duluth, and Helen (Ira) Jordan of Bowersville; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of beloved extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 5th, 2:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Chapel with Rev. Freddie Knox and Pastor John Citizen officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM before the service.
