BROWN, Ora "Naomi", a true family-oriented Christian lady, age 76, of Waynesville, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021. Naomi was born June 12, 1944 to Rev. Ora and Bessie Jones in Stearns, Kentucky.

She was a faithful member of the Corwin Pentecostal Church.

Quiet, giving, caring, humble, loving, and very easy-going, Naomi's life revolved around church and family. Over the years, she also enjoyed sewing and flower gardening. She preferred the cooler months of the year versus the heat of the summer, with the spring flowers and the fall color change being her favorite times. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday, whereby the relaxing time spent with family was always a delight of her's. Among many things, she will be remembered for the annual trips to the Smoky Mountains and the many trips to Somerset, Kentucky, which always revolved around visiting and spending quality time with family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger, in 2018; her parents; one brother Charlie Jones; and five sisters Sarah Hamblin, Rachel Paul, Mary Jones, Lois Jones, and Joyce Jones. She is survived by her daughter Susie (Mark) Rice; two sons Jeff (Norma) Brown and Dennis (Elna) Brown; three grandchildren Joshua Rice, Zachary (Tracy) Rice, and Elijah Brown; four great grandchildren Devon, Brayden, Sam, and Hank; two sisters Ethel (Bill) Cogdill and Roberta King; and one brother LB Jones.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, May 17 at the Corwin Pentecostal Church. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery in Corwin. Rev. Phillip Hoskins and Randy Brown will be officiating. The family will receive friends 5 - 8 PM Sunday at the church. If desired and in Naomi's memory, contributions may be made toward youth ministries at the Corwin Pentecostal Church.
