Mr. Bowling, 93, of Pitkin entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 28, 2011 in Rosepine Retirement Center.
He was retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years, and was a veteran of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He was a member of Gause, Texas, First Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Sarah Bowling; and his previous wife, Myrtis Davis Bowling.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of twenty-seven years, Mildred Bowling of Gause, TX; one daughter, Bonnie Parham of Pitkin, LA; three grandchildren, Brianna Powell, Maurita Dixon and Michael Parham, Jr.; four great grandchildren, Thomas J. Powell, III, William P. Powell, Samuel C. Powell and Daisy Luann Toothman.
Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Pitkin on Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., and on Monday, January 31, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
