He worked for the Prudential Insurance Co. from 1954 to 1984, then spent many years at Independent Materials Testing Lab as a senior sales representative.
Formerly of Colebrook and Winsted, Conn., he was very active in the community and awarded community service recognition from the Prudential Insurance Co. and the Winsted Area Ambulance Association. He was a co-founder and past president of the Winsted Area Ambulance, and an active Lions Club member.
He was known as "Papa" to his grandchildren, and "Uncle" to generations of family and friends. Mr. Brennan was an Air Force veteran, and will be buried at the Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, N.H.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Dr. Sandra Garrison Brennan; a son and a daughter; grandchildren.
