William "Bubba" Leon Watts, 66 of Bowie, TX, passed away Thursday, May 13th, 2021.
Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 21st, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, TX, with Chaplain Phillip Weitner officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Sunset, TX.
Visitation for family and friends is from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
William was born August 23rd, 1954 in Dallas, TX to Jack and Julia (Riley) Watts. He graduated from Lancaster High School in 1972. As a young man, William worked as a produce seller for several years, then as a mechanic and a truck driver. William then worked for Wise Ready Mix as a cement truck driver for 18 years, until his retirement.
He enjoyed fishing and camping, but most of all, William loved being with his children and grandchildren. Family always came first and he loved spending time with all his family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sons Steven Wayne Riley and Michael Watts, sisters Wanda Truitt, Barbara McNeese, Sissy Watts, and Margaret Watts, and brothers George Watts and Sonny Watts.
William is survived by his wife Susan Watts of Bowie; children Gennie Truitt of Queens City, TX, Roger Potter of Colorado, Lynda Menning and spouse Randy Nelson of Frost, TX, Jesse Menning of Payne Springs, TX, and Jennifer Milam and partner Dakota Williams of Sunset, TX; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers Buford Watts and wife Bessie, and Thomas Watts, all of Fort Worth, TX; sister Marie Riley of Texarkana; step-children Francis Bock, Pamela Lint, and Richard Riley Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
