Rebecca Sue Byrd, age 69, departed this life on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at her residence in Oneida, Tennessee. She was born on October 11, 1951 in the Fairview Community to the late Clifton Byrd and Naomi Blakley Byrd. She was a member of Oneida United Methodist Church. She was a retired attorney.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one child, Marissa Ellis; one brother, David Byrd; two sisters, Marva Owens and husband, Jimmy and Elfrieda Hager; three brother-in-laws, Mike Phillips, Rocky Burgess and Bill Ray.
She is survived by her son, J. Brent Ellis; step-son, Eric Blevins; two grandchildren, Megan and Makayla Chitwood; one brother, Glenn Byrd; three sisters, Anne Byrd, Deane Phillips, and Carol Burgess, several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Byrd family on Thursday, May 20, 2021, from 6pm until time for the memorial service at 8pm in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Oneida with Bro. James Roberts officiating.
