Dr. Keith E. Williams

Visalia - It is with thankful hearts that we celebrate the life of Dr. Keith E. Williams.

Keith Edward Williams, 73, of Visalia, California, was received into the loving embrace of his Lord and Savior on April 30, 2021 in the comfort of his home surrounded by family and friends.

Keith was born on Valentine's Day in 1948 in Dinuba, CA where he was raised by his parents, Bill and Zola Williams. His childhood fostered a love of agriculture and his farming family instilled a strong work ethic that would weave its way throughout his life. His education began at Cutler elementary school and he graduated from Orosi High School as a Regent Scholar in 1966. Keith received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1973 from UCLA. After graduating Keith enlisted as a proud member of the United States Navy Corps. He served as a dentist stationed in Port Hueneme. He always said it was lucky he enlisted because his draft number ended up being 2.

Keith loved being a dentist! He opened his private dental practice in Dinuba and ten years later established William's Family Dental in Visalia. He endeared himself to both his patients and his staff. He expressed his love and thanks for all of the friendships he shared with his team over the years. Keith donated his time providing dental work to support inmates in Visalia preparing for release as well as traveling to Nicaragua to provide free dental clinics. His endless curiosity and desire to grow fueled him to embrace continuing education and advances in the industry to bring the very best dentistry to his patients.

It also fueled his adventures in several hobbies throughout his life. Keith loved cars. That love of cars took him to racing, driving, and engineering the fastest designs within regulations. He studied to become a pilot and spent free mornings with clear skies flying and many evenings playing Bridge with friends. He was a life-long learner; voracious reader and always a Dodgers' fan!

It was in 2004 that he married Leanne and was blessed with her unwavering love and partnership. In their 17 years together they climbed mountains, cared for Keith's mother and father, built friendships, loved each other through losses and victories all along enjoying much laughter throughout those years.

Keith loved being a father and was proud of his children's accomplishments. He believed that there truly was nothing they could not do. It was his love and encouragement that has made the difference in the lives of his three daughters and son. The gift of his son Griffin, later in life, was a great source of happiness- an unexpected blessing to have a son with the heart and energy to keep up! Keith was playful and loving into his last days. He made the most of every moment he was given in life even when facing death.

Keith was a member of the New Life Community Church. Keith shared that despite the many cherished relationships he has had in this life all of these relationships were second to his relationship with God which sustained him though out his time here. He encouraged all of us to take time to foster our relationship with God and looked forward to being together once again as promised.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Zola Williams; and nephew Kirk Moerman. Keith is survived by his wife Leanne, daughters Brooke Williams (Gisela Rua), Paige Williams (Scott Reng), Meade Williams, and son Griffin Williams, his six grandchildren: Jillian Reng, Sean Reng, Ilya Lucas, Henrique Emil Sobral Williams-Rua, Bryce Kirchman and Emery Kirchman; his sister, Linda (Roger) Grove and his god-daughter, Courtney (Scott) Kirchman; nephews Kyle Grove and Kevin Moerman and many cousins.

It was no accident Keith was born a Valentine's baby. His life was filled with love.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Visalia New Life Church, 1905 E. Noble Avenue, 93292; or Visalia Nazarene Church, 3333 W. Caldwell Ave., 93277.

A celebration of life will be scheduled once covid restrictions have been lifted.
