Faye Glascock Welsh passed away on May 7, 2017 at the age of 92.
She was a native of Meridian, Mississippi and daughter of the late Hermon T. Glascock and Ela Fae Crawford Glascock , also of Meridian. She was the caring wife of the late Otis Lenwood Welsh, Sr. Faye was also the loving mother of Otis Lenwood "Lenny" Welsh Jr. (and his wife, Martha) of Slidell and William "Billy" H. Welsh (and his wife Wendi)of Lafayette, LA. She was the grandmother of Melissa Lynn Welsh and Kaya Faith Welsh of Slidell and 1LT W.Kyle Welsh, US Army, stationed at JBLM,WA and Katie Elizabeth Welsh of Lafayette. Faye was preceded in death by another granddaughter, Wendy Jade Welsh-Elbaz of Slidell.
She was the sister of Nell Carpenter of Chattanooga, TN, and the late Talmadge Glascock of El Paso TX and the late Lamar Glascock of Atlanta, GA. Faye was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Slidell having taught Sunday School, led XYZ craft group and worked faithfully in the pantry ministry.
Funeral Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, LA, on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 with visitation from 9-11 and service following with Reverend Jim Baham officiating.
