Eddie's Family Funeral Home, Calico Rock, Arkansas, obituary online:
Louis Ray "Todd" Sanders, son of the late Ernest "Johnny" Sanders and Lona Hively Sanders, was born November 6, 1934 in Dolph, Arkansas. He departed this life September 10, 2020 at his home in Dolph at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 4 days. He was married to Virginia Rand April 10, 1955 in Rodney, Arkansas and together they raised two children. Todd spent his life as a loving son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend.
His love of farming prompted him to work jobs that would support his need for more acreage and cows so he wore a variety of hats. In his early years he would load up the old flatbed truck and deliver milk from Dolph to Salem. He could fix about anything that was broken and he spent years under a car or truck at King Chevrolet. He would later work at a canteen service, the Baxter Lab and for the Brunner Hill Water Department.
Each Sunday he could be found on a pew at the Trimble Campground Presbyterian Church at Dolph where he could turn to the scripture on the first try and knew the words to every song in the Heavenly Highway Hymnal.
Todd leaves to mourn his passing; his wife of 65 years: Virginia Sanders of the home; one son: Wade Sanders of Dolph; one daughter: Angela Roberts of Melbourne; eight grandchildren: Dawneace Taylor, Heath WIlliams (Mindy), Johathan WIlliams, Amanda Williams, Jourdan Sanders, Dylan Sanders, Jennifer Campbell, John Marlow;
seven great grandchildren: Zack Williams, Carson Gross, Annie Williams, Emery Williams, Sawyer Williams, Grayer Williams, Ollie Faye Williams; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 13 at 2 pm at Wayland Arbor in Dolph with Beth Kratochvil and Wayne Wood officiating.
Pallbearers: Heath Williams, Jonathan Williams, Shane Vredenbrug, Dylan Sanders, Steve Neal and Rick Sanders.
