Miss Jewel Edwina Wilson, age 88, of 140 Riley Rd., Buffalo, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 13, 2021 1:50 A.M., surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Buffalo, August 8, 1932, a daughter of the late Will Wilson and Lucille Copeland Wilson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Miss Wilson was a graduate of Union High School and Cecil's Business College having begun her career working at Smith's Jewelry Store. She later retired from Conso Products as an Account Clerk and was previously employed with Ace Sweater.

Miss Wilson was a faithful member of Buffalo Baptist Church where she was a G.A. Leader/Acteen Leader, Primary teacher, and a Youth teacher. She taught the J.I. Pruitt Sunday School Class and was a member of WMU of Buffalo Baptist Church. Miss Wilson served her church in various roles for 70 years.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Jimmy and Vonnie Smith of Buffalo, Gene and Beth Wilson of Moore, Anita and Bobby Hicks of Union, James E. (Jamie) and Dianne Smith of Buffalo, Tracy and Shawna Smith of Buffalo, Cassie and Reid Smith of Buffalo, Emily and Tristan Bright (Skye) of Union, Tony Eubanks (Ava, Ayden and Maverick) of Union, Tyler and Courtney Lancaster (Eva and Ellie) of Buffalo, Mary Beth and Clint Lancaster (Maddie) of Buffalo, Renae Eubanks (Henry and Hudson) of Union. She was predeceased by sisters, Ruby Smith and Leona Linder and brothers, Marvin Wilson, Bobby Wilson, and D.J. Wilson.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Buffalo Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Doug Estes, Rev. Tim Anderson, and Rev. Ricky Cook. Visitation will be from 1:45 until 2:45 Sunday at the church prior to the service. Burial will be at Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will Clint Bailey, Tyler Lancaster, Mark Haney, Bruce Betenbaugh, Steve Ramsey, and Tristan Bright.

The following are asked to sit in a group, Pat Lawson, Carrol and Mary Upton, Doug and Gail Johnson, Marvin and Juanita McCullough, Roger and Elaine Bishop, Kenny and Tonya Proctor, Scott and Sherry Kendrick, Helen Bishop, Betty Jo Simmons, Stanley and Brenda Wells, Joyce Hall, Dawn Fallaw, Linda Betenbaugh, R.D. Murphy, Ruth Lancaster, Ruth Ann Anthony and Ruby Ford.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the doctor and staff of Union Medical Center and Spartanburg Regional Hospice for their care and compassion.
