She worked at Gerber for 14 years before moving out-of-state with her family. In addition to her husband of 37 years, William R. Rogers, to whom she was married on Dec. 3, 1983.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa M. (Tim) Snider of NM, her son Ross W. (Kendra) Rogers of KY, a granddaughter, a brother, and four sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Diane. She was greatly looking forward to the birth of her second granddaughter in August.
Everyone who met Kendra would immediately notice her smile and you couldn't help but share in her joy. Kendra had a giving heart and selflessly prioritized the happiness of those she loved. She was a lifetime member of Girl Scouts, serving on the Board of Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana for 7 years and also chairing the Gold Award Committee. She was a member of Derby City Newcomers & Neighbors and served in multiple leadership roles including president. In her free time Kendra enjoyed traveling and making memories, valuing experiences over things.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Soiree in Crestwood, KY (off KY-146) on Monday, May 17 from 4pm - 7pm. Funeral services will be held in Michigan.
