William "Bill" Riley Dawson, age 86, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. He was born in Kennett, Missouri on March 11, 1935 to John and Sarah Dawson (nee Kirby).
Bill was a hardworking Marine Electrician at Dawson Marine Electric for over 60 years. Even after retirement, he was constantly called upon to help others with the job. Bill loved the company of his family. His family will miss his story times, where he would tell stories of his past from, being in the Air Force, to life on the farm in Kennett, Missouri.
Bill is survived by his wife of 36 years, Nancy Dawson; his sons, William R.E. Dawson and John Dawson; his step-daughter, Mary Robinson; his grandchildren, Randy (Paula) Dawson, Zachary Dawson, Riley Dawson, Tyler Robinson, Travis Dawson, Jeremy Bono, AJ Grillo, Jackson Grillo, Chloe Henry and Gracie Henry; his great-grandchildren, Audriana Dawson and Aiden Robinson; and his brother, Leonard Dawson: He will be missed by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sons, George Dawson and DeWayne Dawson; his step-daughter, Elizabeth Grillo; his father, John Emerson Dawson; his mother, Sarah Lou Sindy Dawson; and his siblings, Betty, Nina, Mary, and Sue.
A private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
