He was born on June 28, 1938, in Hartford City, IN, the son of Forrest and Chota (Williamson) Mock.
John graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1955.
He worked at North Star, Muncie, IN, from 1952 until 1963, when it closed. John also worked at Borg Warner for 18 years.
He had worked in systems analyst and data processing.
John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1956 until 1959. He was stationed at Parks AFB, Chunte AFB, and Hickam AFB.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and fishing.
John is survived by his sons, David Mock, and Dennis (Rhonda) Mock, sister, Beverly (Ken) Beck; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Carolyn Mock.
Cremation was chosen and there will be no services.
