Judith L. Dawson, 74 of Tyrone, PA passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg, PA after a courageous battle with many illnesses. She was born on April 3, 1947 the daughter of the late James H. and Anna E. (Getz) Dawson Sr.

She is survived by one sister: Bonnie (John) Ramsey of Tyrone with whom she had resided for many years. In addition to her sister, she is survived by her niece: Karen (Tim) Everhart of Alexandria; Nephews: Steven (Amy) Ramsey of Tyrone, and Nathan (Mollie) of Tyrone. She is survived by seven great nieces and nephews: Kaleigh Everhartt Norris, Seth Everhart, Stephanie and Nicole Ramsey, McKenzie, Tyler and Kaitlin Ramsey; One great-great niece: Savannah Norris. These were the joy of her life. She was preceded in death by her brother, James H. Dawson Jr., December 25, 2003.

Judy was a graduate of Tyrone area high school class of 1965. For many years she was employed as a bookkeeper for Rupert Chevrolet and then for Nelson Chevrolet Olds of Tyrone. After retirement she worked part time at Shoe Fly Shoes in Tyrone as well as being very active in work at her church, Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist, Tyrone.

Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends serving others and being a friend to all. She had a wonderful close friend (Pam) and she will be sadly missed by her family and all of those who knew and loved her.

Friends and family will be received from 10 until the 11 AM service at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday May 14, 2021 with pastor Eric Shafer officiating.
In lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions can be sent in Judy's memory to Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist 1650 clay Ave Tyrone Pennsylvania 16686.
Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Altoona PA. Arrangements are under the care of the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc.
