(1922 - 2021) Christina "Chrissie" King was born in Scotland to Thomas and Grant Finlayson in 1922. She had an older brother, George. Chrissie enlisted in the British Army during WWII. In 1946, she married George Winston King. They had two sons before immigrating to the US in 1954. Two more were US-born. George was employed by GM as a skilled tradesman. Chrissie was a homekeeper. Later she became an Activities Director for a nursing home. Post-retirement Chrissie became an accomplished artist. She died on May 8, 2021, peacefully at 98. She is survived by four sons: Alexander, Thomas, Ian, and Bruce King; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside burial and memorial at Utica Cemetery, Shelby Twp., 3 p.m. Thursday, May 13. Meal at 4 p.m. at Ike's, Sterling Hts., for friends.
