Mrs. Marjorie Mae Davis, 69, of Peoria, IL transitioned from this life to her heavenly home at 5:15 am on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Cornerstone Rehabilitation & Healthcare, Peoria Heights, IL.
Marjorie was born on February 28, 1952 in Peoria, Illinois to Walker and Betty (Porch) Davies. She married James Henry Davis on July 29, 1983 in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death on March 20, 2014.
Marjorie was kind hearted. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She loved to watch movies and dvds. She also loved to draw, paint, reupholster furniture and back in the day she loved to play a little volleyball. Marjorie was a faithful and long-time member of St. Paul Baptist Church where she formerly sang in the choir and was a member of the usher board.
Marjorie leaves to cherish her most precious memories her loving and devoted family which includes her children, Linda Davis of Peoria, IL, Sheldon Davis of Lombard, IL and Henry Blackwell of Quincy, IL; two brothers, Walker Davis of St. Paul, MN and Joseph (Vickie) Davis of Peoria, IL; three sisters, Debra Watson of Long Beach, CA, Toni Session of Long Beach, CA and Betty Lou Henley of Peoria, IL; eight grandchildren, Brendon, Alexis, Christian, Henry, Cory, Jason, Chris and Austin; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Marjorie will be laid to rest at Camp Butler National Cemetery with her Husband, James.
