Gary Mitchell King, Sr. 77, of Valdosta died Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at his home. He was born in Bainbridge on May 20, 1943, a son of the late Evelyn Allen King Jeter and Corbitt Mitchell King. He was real estate salesman and a member of the Bemiss United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Cathey Kite King; his son and daughter in law, Gary Mitchell King, Jr. and Rachel King all of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Evelyn Clare King, Corbin Morgan King, Allee Margaret King all of Valdosta; sisters and brother in law, Linda Jeter Johnson of Tallahassee, FL, Phyllis King Yates and Thomas Yates, Patsy King Tedder, , Madelyn King Collins and Buster Collins all of Perry, FL, Susan King Lee and James Lee of Tennessee; numerous nieces and nephews; and his princess, Roxie. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, John Morill Jeter.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Bemiss United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be held at 2pm, Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Climax, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
