Jimmy Wayne Yates, 64, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, of Granbury, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening, May 8, 2021, in Granbury.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 1 P.M., on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Home, 913 N. Elm St., Weatherford, Texas 76086. Burial will be private.
Jimmy was born March 11, 1957, in Mc Kinney, Texas to A.C. and Helen Yates. He married Anita Mann on August 26, 1995. Jimmy was an over-the-road truckdriver for over 30 years. Previously, he also served on the Granbury police force. He enjoyed outdoor activities including riding his Harley and his guns. Most of all, Jimmy will be remembered as a proud American who cherished time spent with his family.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Anita; his children, James Cato-Yates, Misty and husband Mike Schultz, Justin Yates and Ryan Yates; his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Pablo; by his mother-in-law, Gail Mann; and by his siblings, Mary Lloyd, Jackie Yates, Linda and husband Mike Bell, Bobby and wife Lisa, and Arthur and wife Patty Yates.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, A.C. and Helen Yates.
