MANTECA-Albert W. Helton, 64, of 622 N. Main, a former Ripon resident, died undergoing surgery Tuesday in a Stockton hospital. Mr. Helton was a native of Alabama and had lived in California since 1955. He moved to Manteca from Ripon about four years ago. He was a laborer and worked as a custodian for a Ripon school before retiring.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl; son, Allie F. Helton of Alabama; daughters, Ethel D. Cunningham, of Alabama and Jane Harper, of Manteca; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
