Robinson - Barry S., on May 7, 2021. Survived by his wife, Patricia, daughters Jessica (Jesse) and Amanda, and grandson James, loving family of many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Preceded by his parents, Flo and Max, and brothers, Terry and Brian. Barry grew up in Great Neck, NY and was very active in the Boy Scouts. He then joined the US Navy where he served from 1960-1964 aboard the USS Ticonderoga. After his honorable discharge, Barry joined the Manhasset-Lakeville F.D. in 1965, where he remained a member until his passing. Barry climbed the ranks of Co. 4 from Lieutenant to Captain, after which he continued on to become Deputy Chief and rise all the way to Chief of Department from 1985-1987. Barry stayed active in his department, even after becoming a bilateral amputee, as well as actively attending meetings of the 8th Battalion Past Chiefs Assoc., MLFD Ex-Chiefs Assoc. and Ex-Capts. Assoc., as well as serving on numerous committees. Barry was a dedicated and loving husband, father, friend and firefighter. He will be missed by many. Visitation will be at the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department Company #4, Sunday, 2-4pm and 6-9pm. Funeral Mass, Monday 9:45am St. Aloysius RC Church, Great Neck, NY. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Great Neck.
