Kenneth Leon "Ken" Collins was born on July 23, 1945 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Raymond "Ray" and Freeda Irene (Turbyfill) Collins; he passed away on May 11, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 75.
Ken and his family moved to Pryor in 1954; he attended school in Pryor and graduated from Pryor High School in 1963. He served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard for six years and for 6 months was active duty. He was in sales for most of his life until he retired in his early 60's; after retiring he began driving cross country as a transport escort, which he enjoyed.
Ken was a licensed pilot and certified scuba diver and he enjoyed those activities immensely. He was also loved and was an excellent golfer with a -1 handicap and enjoyed traveling around the country on his Harley Davidson with his longtime love, Marti.
Ken was of the Nazarene faith.
He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Marti Peppers of Wagoner; son, Lance Collins and wife Leanne of Tulsa and their three children, Ryan, Gage and Shelby; two great grandchildren, Addison and Riverlynn; brother, Roy Collins and wife Donna of Pryor and nieces and nephew, Sheila, Sara and Chad.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Freeda Collins and brother, Art Stidham.
