TAYLOR COUNTY KENTUCKY OBITUARY – 1978
Ruth Huffman, 56, died Wednesday, February 8, 1978, at the Suburban Hospital in Louisville. She was a native of Taylor County, born here January 15, 1922, the daughter of the late George & Anna Malone Tungate. Mrs. Huffman was a resident of 608 North Hite Avenue in Louisville and a former resident of Taylor County. Survivors include 1 son: Thomas C. Malone of LaGrange, KY; 1 daughter: Mrs. Jacqueline Corum of Louisville; and 5 grandchildren; 4 brothers: Floyd Tungate of Lizton, IN, Billy Tungate and Clarence Tungate of Louisville, Thomas Tungate of Route 1, Elkhorn; 4 sisters: Mrs. Alpha McDonald of Route 1, Elkhorn, Mrs. Letha Cox of Louisville, Mrs. Georgia Bishop of Lebanon, IN, and Mrs. Edna Campbell of Texas. Funeral services were conducted by the Lyon Funeral Home at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 11, at the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church by Rev. Harold Squires. Interment followed in the Jones Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Buck Malone, Delmer Malone, Phillips Jarboe, Nicklas McDonald, George R. McDonald, Rodney Malone, Shirley Wooley and Ralph Garner.
