According to "South Africa, Cape Province, Civil Records, 1840-1972," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-95F7-LTW?cc=1779109&wc=Q81G-826%3A139966401%2C141806301 : 10 June 2019), 1936 Port Elizabeth image 168 of 2755; National Archives, Pretoria... the intended place of burial was Johannesburg


He died in PE and was cremated at Braamfontein crematorium in Joburg. His ashes were taken which generally means that no memorial was placed in Braamfontein cemetery. (Source: Friends of Johannesburg Cemeteries)


According to the Evening Despatch - Monday 08 June 1936 (Warwickshire, England), Montague left an estate valued at £131,406. The Bradford Observer - Tuesday 09 June 1936 (Yorkshire, England) added a Net Personalty of £106,528 with estate duty of £32,568.



Any information on what happened to his ashes would be appreciated.
