David, 67, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. The youngest of six children, he was born to Robert and Joan Warner of Fowlerville.

Dave graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1972, and in 1973 married Diana K. Clark, with whom he raised three children. They divorced in 1982. Later, he met Jackie (Green) Kiss, and they were married in 1990.

A skilled carpenter and builder, Dave started his business, Warner Remodeling. He became well known for his superior craftsmanship and attention to detail, and always treated his clients with honesty and respect. As a result, many became not only clients, but lifelong friends.

If you asked Dave about the most important thing in the world to him, his answer would be "family" – particularly his children and grandchildren. He was a caring and involved Dad who always tucked his kids in at night. He taught them the importance of family and the value of doing a job right. A loving and devoted husband, loyal son, brother, and uncle, perhaps Dave's favorite role was that of grandpa. He loved playing and joking with his four grandsons.

Dave loved watching college sports. He was a huge fan of the MSU Spartans.

On December 7, 2003, Dave placed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord, and was born again! God's amazing grace, "goodness, and mercy followed him all the days of his life. And he will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." (from Psalm 23:6)

Within the past couple of years, he surprised all his family and friends by forming a strong attachment with his cat, Wizzer. The two were nearly inseparable.

David is predeceased by his son, Eric James Warner in 1991, his mother, Joan Warner in 1997, and his father, Robert Warner in 2016.

David is survived by his wife, Jackie Lynn Warner of Mason; his siblings: Patricia Diericks of Flint Township, Linda Danders of Okemos, Robert Warner of Fowlerville, Steven (Kathy) Warner of Vermontville, and James (Sharon) Warner of Byron; his son, Adam Warner of Grand Rapids; his daughter, Melissa (Thomas) Hale of Grand Rapids, and his four grandchildren: Aaron, Kian, Taegan, and Camden Hale.
