Michael "Mike" W. Busch, 80, of Bedford, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 in Bloomington. He was born August 23, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky, to Jack and Viola (Baldwin) Busch. He married Wanda "Rita" Harrison on Nov. 6, 1965 and she preceded him in death on March 18, 2018.
Mike worked at Regal Beloit for 22 years until they closed and then retired from Indiana Steel as a machinist. He attended Bedford Baptist Temple and was active in area sports, including bowling, baseball, softball, fishing and coaching little league teams.
Surviving to cherish Mike's memory are his sons, Tom (Mindy) Busch and Steve Busch, both of Bedford; daughter, Charlotte Blackburn of Bedford; grandchildren, Kayla (Matt), Michael, Karly (Justin), Thomas, Daniel, Shane, Lea, Nathaniel, Clay (Tayler) and Bailey; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Ainsley, Gibson, Greylen, Everley, Judson and Daxson; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Mike in death were his parents; wife; son, Danny Busch; sister, Ruth Ann; and three brothers, Bill, Tom and Jerry.
Funeral services for Michael "Mike" W. Busch will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 13, 2021at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Bro. Lyman Taylor officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
