WILLIAM A. NELSON, age 52, of Birmingham, died Sunday, October 16, 1994. He was a member of Avondale Baptist Church. He was a professional truck driver for 26 years.
Chapel service will be Wednesday, October 19, 1994, 2:00 p.m., at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (Hoover) with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens South.
Survivors: His son William Nelson, Jr., of Tarrant; daughter Carol Faye Nelson of Pelham; parents George C. Nelson and Harietta Nelson of Birmingham; brothers George C. Nelson, Jr., and Hudson Wayne Nelson, both of Birmingham; granddaughter Candice Faye Nelson of Pelham; and 11 step-grandchildren.
Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (Hoover) is directing.

William Nelson was one of five people killed in an armed robbery. The two offenders died of natural causes while awaiting execution on Alabama's death row.
