Daniel Luby Malone, 81, of Waco Texas, went to be with His Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 17, 2021.

The service will be held at Midway Missionary Baptist Church, Benton on Sunday, April 25 with viewing at 2:30 p.m. and funeral at 3 p.m. Burial at Midway Baptist Church cemetery immediately following.

Daniel Luby Malone Sr. of Waco, Texas, was born on August 15, 1939 in Yazoo City Mississippi to I.D. Malone Jr. and Verlie Mae (Luby) Malone.

He went to his heavenly home on April 17, 2021, at the age of 81. Texas Funeral Service will be 2 p.m., Friday, April 23 at Landmark Baptist Church with Bro. Michael Raines officiating.

A Viewing will begin at 1:00 pm. Mississippi Funeral Service will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 25th at Midway Baptist Church in Benton with Bro. Daniel L. Malone, Jr. officiating. Viewing will begin at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.

Dan grew up in Benton, Mississippi and attended Benton High School. He was saved and baptized at Midway Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army.

He married Dorothy Ann Davis on June 29, 1958, and the Lord blessed them with four children. He accepted the call to the ministry and graduated from Louisiana Baptist Institute and Seminary.

His hobbies were quail hunting with his bird dogs, crappie fishing, restoring classic antique cars, and his love for all of his grandchildren and great grandbabies.

He was a retired pastor serving as Pastor Emeritus of Landmark Baptist Church in Waco, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father I. D. Malone Jr, his mother, Verlie Mae (Luby) Malone, his brother, Jerry Alvin Malone, his brother-in-law, William Henry Jones, his son, Joel Davis Malone, and his grandson, Joshua Darrell Malone.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy, sons, Daniel Luby Malone Jr. and wife Sherry of Strong, Arkansas, William Darrell Malone and wife Kim of Eros, Louisiana, daughter, Dana Lynn Pearson and husband Mike of Waco, Texas, and daughter in law, Sharla Malone of McKinney.

He is also survived by his sister Jo Ann Jones of Benton, Mississippi, his sister Sandy Roan and husband Wayne of Madision, Mississippi, Granddaughters, Brandy Stewart and husband Bo of Camden, Arkansas, Michelle and husband Chuck Jones of Hamburg, Arkansas, Misty McDade and husband Jim of West Monroe, Louisiana, Kade Malone of Eros, Louisiana, Briton Malone and fiance' Mason Glover of Plano, Marin Malone of McKinney, Ashley Allen of Riesel, Texas, Haley Brooke Grmela and husband Eddie Grmela of Waco, Texas, Michaela and fiancé' Carson Kaddatz of West.

Great grandchildren: Mckinley Stewart, Raylee Stewart, Kaylee Stewart, Kaci Jones, Karly Jones, Karoline Jones, Kyson McDade, Kyndahl McDade, Ashton McDade, Addyson McDade, Joshua Aaron Malone, Aubrey Allen, Autumn Allen, Easton Summey, Avery Summey, Jase Grmela, Tanner Grmela, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
