Harriet Johnson, affectionately known as Mama, Grandmaw, MawMaw, Aunt Harriet, Tee, and Mama Johnson was born on November 10, 1928 to the parents of Aaron Shelton and Amelia Ransome. She was baptized at a very early age by the late O'Neal Bouie at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Lakeland, LA. She was a faithful servant and long-time member of Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church for over 80 years. She served in many auxiliaries, most notably the Little Zion church choir until she moved to serve as a deaconess, per the request of her pastor. She touched the lives of many people with her beautiful contagious smile and her love of southern hospitality. She was often known for famous candied yams, sweet potato pies and fried bread. She leaves her children to carry her legacy, Michael (Hardee) Marcelin, Raymond Marcelin, Belinda J. Clarkson and Elliot T.
