Audry Nell Jackson
"The Fashion Diva"

Audry Nell Outley Jackson was born in Lake Charles, LA on June 16, 1931 to the late Willie and Mittie Piert Outley. She departed this life on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in Lake Charles where she had recently moved to be near relatives.

She united in holy matrimony to Andrew Burvice Jackson on June 19, 1948 where she remained a devoted wife for 71 years. Audry worked for several years in housekeeping at Lyndon B. Johnson hospital in Houston, TX.

She was a faithful member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, TX for over 40 years where she served on the Nurses Ministry. She could also be found providing the welcome during church afternoon services
or delivering words of encouragement during various mission events. Most recently she was under watch care at Starlight Baptist Church where Reverend Julian K. Woods serves as the Pastor.

Audry's hobbies included shopping, shopping, and more shopping! She loved dressing !o the nines and did not feel her outfit was complete unless it included a fancy, eye-catching hat. She was known for giving advice to her
younger nieces on how they could brighten up their wardrobes to make them more attractive. Audry had a very giving spirit and would periodically send cards of care and concern to encourage a church member or a neighbor or a
young person who needed to know someone cared.

She was predeceased by her husband, parents and all her siblings; Hazel Outley, Elmer Davis, Willie Mae Broussard and Regina Mitchell.

She leaves a host of nieces and nephews to cherish her memories.
