Miss Louisa Rhodes, passed away at her residence , Iver Lodge on Bangors Road, near Uxbridge (where she had resided for about 25 years, after moving there from Hastings), after a very short illness. She was not much in Dalham during her last years, as she was mostly there only when her brother, Frank, was at the hall. She had been in failing health for some years.

She was laid to rest in the family vault in the churchyard at Dalham on Monday, February 26th. The elm shell containing the body was enclosed in an oak-casket with brass fittings. The breastplate bares the inscription "Louisa Sophia Margaret Rhodes, born 6th January, 1847, died 22nd February, 1923"
