Rebecca "Becky" Palmer was a lover of a good doughnut, a cheap cup of coffee, and a juicy piece of news. After a life well lived, she left this world on May 8, 2021 at age 85, ready to meet her maker.

Becky was the first-born child of Edith and Ted Dombrowski. As a young Erie native, she spent her time throwing rocks at Robert Palmer, the boy she would eventually marry in 1956. She was the older sister of Bobby Hill, a man renowned for his handlebar mustache. Becky and Bob had 5 children together, Danny, Cindy, Billy, Patty, and Kellie. All 7 of them crammed together in a two-bedroom house that they eventually expanded after all their kids had moved out. Luckily, their expansion provided ample room to host many holidays with their children , and 19 great-grandchildren. Their walls were decorated with family photos as well as the many baskets, tea-pots, and John Wayne memorabilia that they had collected over the years, This paired well with the wind-chimes that hung from their living room ceiling, all of which are well-remembered by those who didn't need to sort through them.

Those who knew Becky well will remember her devotion to helping others. She spent many years working as a Nurse's aid at the VA and Sarah Reed Nursing Home, as well as with individual families. She spent countless volunteering for Meals on Wheels, leaving her family with fond memories of helping run the meals back and forth from her car to a stranger's house. She was a life long member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she witnessed many wedding, births, baptisms, and off-key youth bell choir performances. All after which she cleaned, often roping in any family member nearby.

Becky will be fondly missed by all those who have loved her and been loved by her. We are sure that she is catching up with her mom, tuning out her husband, laughing with Patty, and admiring the flower that Danny arranged for her arrival.

Visitation and services will be private with burial in Erie County Memorial Garden Cemetery
