Pearl May Wilbourn Dawkins, daughter of Clifton Earl and Sally May (Mamie) Parks Wilbourn was born in Yalobusha County July 13, 1900 and died December 8, 1991. She was a descendent of Colonel Benjamin Hawkins and Major Thomas Carr and was a member of the DAD and Colonial Dames.

After graduating from Coffeeville High School, she attended college at College Hill at Oxford and taught school in a number of one-room schools including Taylor Chapel, east of Coffeeville, near Choctaw Landing, at Gray Rock near her home, in Grenada County and near Birmingham, Alabama.

Some of her enjoyments included the Coffeeville Past time Book Club, her family, friend sand she was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Coffeeville.

Pearl married Michael Harmon Dawkins June 4, 1928 and had two children: (1) Thomas Clifton Dawkins born December 15, 1930;married Shirley Mae McKee Simmons and have no children. Tom and Shirley are now retired--- Tom from insurance and real estate business and Shirley from teaching. (2) Charles Herbert Dawkins, born March 1, 1934; married Betty Sue Martin and had two children (1) Michael Gabriel Dawkins born August 23, 1964. Michael married Maria Eduvina Robles Arce from Costa Rica and has one child, Anna Gabrielle (Gabby) Dawkins; (2) Susan Page Dawkins was born July 25, 1970. . Page married Jonnie Eugene Carney and had three children, Mason Drake and Mackenzie Reed (Twins) born December 18, 1994.and Erin Drew Carney, born September 12.1994
Page divorces and later married Micheal Patric Wilson and adopted two children from China; (1) Caleb William Gabriel Wilson born 29 Mar 2004 in Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, China. (2) Liya Michaela Page Wilson, born 02 Jun 2004 in Guangdong China
