AGE 94 YEARS
Dorothy R. (Bone) Bailey of Dedham, formerly of Mansfield, passed away, May 6, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Ora J. Bailey. Devoted mother of Donna M. McManus of Marston Mills, Barbara S. Blaisdell of Palmer, AK, Christine A. Sierra of Narragansett, RI, David O. Bailey of Foxborough of Westwood. Cherished grandmother of 2 granddaughters. Dear sister of the late Florence Ward. Also survived by her children's spouses.
Dot grew up and was educated in Watertown. She had made her home in Dedham for the past 5 ½ years and formerly resided in Mansfield, where she was a communicant of Saint Mary's Church in Mansfield. Prior to marriage, Mrs. Bailey was an Executive Secretary at the Raytheon Corporation in Watertown.
Dot truly loved the many wonderful summers spent at her family's home in West Dennis, where she swam every day. Her hobbies included birdwatching, gardening and especially baking apple, pecan and pumpkin pies during the holiday seasons. She will always be remembered for her tremendous gift of gab, the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, lending others a helping hand and making those who visited her home always feel welcome
Arrangements: Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., MANSFIELD.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Mary's Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106), Mansfield.
Burial will be held privately on Saturday at Saint Francis Cemetery in Torrington, CT.
