Terry Lomas Minton, 72, of Duffield, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 9. 2021 at Holston Valley Medical Center.
He served his country in the U.S. Army. Terry was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He loved researching his genealogy and learning about his ancestors. Terry was a loving, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Minton and Georgia Vaughan Minton Calton; stepfather, Hurley Calton; brother, Spider Minton; sister, Sheila Stanley.
Survivors include his daughter, Elisa Minton; granddaughters, Adalyn Clontz, Amber Hall; grandson, Aadyn Henry; sisters, Sherry Clagett, Shanda Minton, Marcel Minton, Fern Maness, Lenora Minton; brother, Gerald Minton; along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm on Thursday, May 12, 2021 at Scott County Funeral Home. A military graveside will follow at Vaughan Family Cemetery, Duffield, VA with the American Legion Hammond post 3/265 conducting the honors. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
