Born on March 12, 1942 in Queens NY to the late James and the late Marion Cox, Brian was an Army Reserve Veteran.
Prior to his retirement, he was a national sales manager with White Office Systems in Kenilworth. Prior to this he was the General Partner of Modular Business and Security Systems, New York, NY.
Brian was a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of the Mountain Chapter.
An avid Yankee's and Jet's fan, he enjoyed folk, 5o's and 60's music, his cat "Sparky" and traveling to Florida and Ireland.
Beloved husband for 29 years of Kathleen M. (Foynes) Cox. Devoted father of Brian E. Cox, Jr. and Barbara J. Lyle (Ethan). Loving grandfather of Alyssa, Tyler, Braydon, Courtney, Meghan and Lauren. Dear brother of James Cox, Kathleen Kaiser and Nancy O'Donnell. He is predeceased by his brother, Gerard Cox and his first wife, Gilda Cox.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday May 13 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Mountain RC Church, Long Valley.
Brian will be laid to rest following mass in Our Lady of the Mountain Cemetery, Long Valley.
