Patricia Sue "Trish" Hopkins, aged 72, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021, in St. Elizabeth ICU. Her granddaughter and niece were with her.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, May 16 at Kangley Hall in Streator. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory was entrusted with cremation rites.

Trish was born January 15, 1948 in Streator, to Florian "Fred" and Joyce (Cox) Salat. She graduated from St. Anthony Grade School and Streator High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Richard Hopkins, Sr. on July 30, 1966, and they had three children- Richard, Jr. (David Marshall), Jennifer Joy, and Nancy Beth.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years; her son; and her younger daughter. She is also survived by her grandchildren, her beloved sister, Kathy and brother-in-law Tim Kakara, brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Linda Perry, and Mike and Terri Hopkins; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Joyce Salat; a brother in infancy; her daughter, Jennifer; and grandson, David.
